Healthcare

The Government Hospital of Yellareddy is one of the primary medical facilities available in the area and serves more than 20-30 surrounding villages. There are also private hospitals including Jeevadhan.

Education

Yellareddy has a number of primary and secondary education institutions. It also has a junior college which has been the only place for college education in the surrounding area for a long period of time. A Government Degree college has been established there, servicing Yellareddy, Lingampet, Nizamsagar and Nagareddy-pet. ITI has also been sanctioned here, but some vaste leaders did not try to construct the building, so now it continues in Nizamabad district headquarters. Some private institutions have also been established, including Sai Chaitanya Model School. Yellareddy also has computer coaching institutions.

Economy

The main source of income in the region is agriculture. The main crops in Yellareddy and surrounding areas are rice paddy and sugarcane.

Surrounding Villages

Gandimasanipet (a village under Yellareddy) made history in the Indian Government by building toilets for every house and the largest number of water harvesting dumbs.

Kalyani (earlier Kalyampet) is a village in Yellareddy mandal at a distance of 3 kilometers from Yellareddy. This village has more history and heritage than Yellareddy itself. Earlier, residents of Yellareddy used to come to this village for shopping and for other transactions, but since Yellareddy has had good road connectivity, it has become the hub of the mandal. Now most of the people from Kalyani have migrated to Yellareddy. Kalyani comes under the panchayath of Lingareddy pet, even though actual government offices and other government operations activities take place in Kalyani itself. There is only one school, a government school, here, even though there were many failed attempts to establish a corporate private school here. There is a reservoir on the Kalyani lake even though the water from this project can't be used for the Kalyani agricultural fields, but the reservoir has been named after the Kalyani village.
