WSP Group plc (LSE: WSH) is a British-based business providing management and consultancy services to the built and natural environment. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

History
The Company was established in 1973 by Chris Cole and three other partners trading as the William Sale Partnership.1 It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1987.1
In the 1990's the Company expanded overseas forming WSP Asia in 1995, acquiring Cantor Seinuk and Flack + Kurtz, US practices, in 2000, as well as buying Jacobson & Widmark (J&W) in Sweden in 2001, LT Consultants OY and EMP Projects OY in Finland in 2003 and PHB Group in the UAE in 2005.1
In 2007 it bought Lincolne Scott, an Australian building services and environment engineering consultancy, LC Consulting, a South African specialist in structural engineering, CEL International in the UK,2 and CBP Consulting Engineers in Germany. It increased its presence in the US acquiring, SEi, an engineering design business3 and Sells, transport and infrastructure engineers.
