The Treaty of Zurich was signed by the Austrian Empire and the Kingdom of Sardinia (allied to the French Empire) on November 10, 1859. The agreement was a reaffirmation of the terms of Villafranca, which brought the Austro-Sardinian War to an official close. Based on the terms of the treaty, Austria ceded the province of Lombardy to Sardinia.
