Torkel Styrbjörnsson, Torgils, Sprakalägg or Sprakling is considered^who? to have been the son of the disinherited Swedish prince Styrbjörn the Strong, the son of king Olof (II) Björnsson of Sweden.^{citation needed} His mother was Thyra Haraldsdotter,^{citation needed} the daughter of Harold Bluetooth (king of Denmark and Norway).

He died at the Battle of Swold.^{citation needed}

Children:

1. Ulf Jarl (d. 1027), the Jarl of Canute the Great in Denmark and Danish steward.
2. Gytha Thorkelsdóttir who was to marry Godwin, Earl of Wessex.
