Sixth century (501-600)

This is approximately 126 AH - 23

  • 545: Birth of Abdullah, Muhammad's father (approximate date).
  • 570: Birth of Muhammad, Year of the Elephant (approximate date) and death of Abdullah, porphet Muhammad's father.
  • 576: Death of Aminah bint Wahb, The Mother of Muhammad; (approximate date).
  • 578: Death of Abdul Mutallib, the grandfather of Muhammad; (approximate date)
  • 583: Muhammad's journey to Syria with his uncle Abu Talib (approximate date)
  • 594: Muhammad works for Khadija; leads her trade caravan to Syria and back (approximate date)
  • 595: Muhammad marries Khadija (approximate date).
  • 599: Birth of Ali ibn Abi Talib (Shia believe that he was born in the Ka'ba) in the city of Mecca. The cousin of Muhammad and his son in law, is the fourth caliph according to Sunni belief; and the first Imam according to Shiite belief.
