Dumai
Dumai is a city in Riau province on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. The city has an area of 2,039.35 km² and had 293,355 inhabitants at the 2012.[2] Dumai has a National Airport, that is Pinang Kampai Airport. Dumai is an important transport and trade centre, both regionally and internationally, especially to Malaysia. Dumai is rich in oil (fuel and palm oil).[3]

History
Dumai is a city in Riau province, Indonesia, about 188 km from Pekanbaru. Now, Dumai City is one of the major cities in Indonesia. Currently Dumai City is the second largest city in the province of Riau. Recorded history, Dumai is a small hamlet on the east coast of Riau Province who are now beginning to squirm a pearl on the east coast of Sumatra. Dumai is a result of the expansion Bengkalis Regency. Inaugurated as a city on April 20, 1999, by Law no. 16 year 1999 dated 20 April 1999 having previously had a city administrative (kotif) in Bengkalis Regency. At its inception, the Dumai City only consists of 3 districts, 13 villages and 9 villages with a population of just 15,699 souls with density 83.85/km2.

Tranportation
There are several transportation mode in Pekanbaru such as Taxi, Bus, Oplet (Share taxi), Bajaj (Auto rickshaw), Ojek (Motorcycle taxi).
For land transport, Dumai is connected to Duri, Padang, Medan, Jambi, Pekanbaru, and other cities or regions in Riau Province and Sumatra Island by the existence of Terminal Bus (Terminal AKAP).
Dumai Port (Pelabuhan Dumai) is located in Dumai, connecting Dumai with regions in Riau Province and other Destination in Indonesia and others Destination in the World. This port one of the major port in Riau and Indonesia.
Pinang Kampai Airport is an National airport that serves flights in Dumai to/from several cities in Indonesia, that is Pekanbaru, Medan, Jakarta, Batam, etc.[5]
