In medicine a central pain syndrome caused by the malfunctioning of the Central Nervous System (CNS) either due to trauma, tumors or epilepsy which causes a sensitization of the pain system. The extent of pain and the areas affected are related to the cause of the injury. Sometimes a part of the body, like, hands or feet might be affected, but if the damage is more, then the whole body might stand a chance. Unlike an injured motor nerve which carries less current, these pain nerves increase their signals resulting in injuring the neighbouring un-affected neurons. This is triggered by cold, movement, stress and emotions. This pressing pain is intolerable and may show numbness in the areas affected.
Treatment
Pain medications and anti depressants can be usedcitation needed.
